NSYSU COVID-19 Prevention Measures 7/27-8/9

๐Ÿ“ Classrooms and Teaching

โœ… In-person learning allowed under conditions, distance learning for large classes. Persons under home quarantine and self-health management shall not come to campus and attend classes.

โœ… In-person learning scheduled before August 9: maximum of 50 persons for indoor venues and spacing of 2.25 m2 per person

โœ… Persons attending classes in person shall wear masks at all times; eating and drinking is not allowed.
 

๐Ÿ“ Offices

If keeping social distance of 1.5 m is not possible, masks shall be worn at all times.
 

๐Ÿ“ Meeting Rooms

If keeping social distance of 1.5 m indoor is not possible, masks shall be worn at all times. Eating and drinking is not allowed.
 

๐Ÿ“ Library: closed to off-campus visitors. It will gradually open in two phases:

1โƒฃ7/27 (Tuesday) to 7/30 (Friday)

โœ… Temporary circulation service and reference consultation still available on the 1st floor (rear entrance)

โœ… Increase sanitation of the reading areas.

2โƒฃ8/2 (Monday) to 8/9 (Monday)

โœ… Reading areas from the 3rd to 8th floors are open, and alternate seating of at least 1.5 meters apart shall be observed.

โœ… Study and discussion rooms are available for reservation. Discussion rooms are limited to a maximum of 5 persons.

โœ… Entry access is limited to NSYSU staff and persons with valid library cards (family, alumni, and friends).

โœ… The following computer & study rooms are temporarily closed: Computer

room (B1), Learning Plaza and Study Hall (1F), Learning Common (3F).
 

๐Ÿ“ Gymnasium and Sports/Fitness Facilities

Masks are required at all times for indoor and outdoor venues. Keep contact tracing record and maintain social distancing. Eating/drinking is not allowed (except for drinking water).

โœ… The following venues remain closed: swimming pool and Fitness Center I (in

the Gymnasium).

โœ… Gymnasium and tennis courts are open; shower rooms are closed.

โœ… Fitness Center II (near the stadium) is open by reservation; lockers and showers are closed.

โœ… Track-and-field (including the horizontal bars), outdoor basketball courts, outdoor volleyball courts, and the baseball/softball field are open and limited to 50% of the capacity.

โœ… Ocean Sports Center opens only to groups using water sports equipment. Masks shall be worn at all times. No swimming is allowed.

โœ… Open-water swimming activities of the Morning Swimming Club are suspended.

โš ๏ธIf it is not possible to wear masks and social distance, the above venues will be closed.
 

๐Ÿ“ Campus Dorms

โœ…Only one entrance is open to every student dorm; other entrances opened upon special request to Dormitory Service Center for students moving in or out.

โœ… Students can return on campus for move-in, move-out and change of dorms
 

๐Ÿ“ Sun Yat-sen Hall

โœ… Open

โœ… For the audience: assigned alternate seating and the first row of seating should be at least 3 meters from the stage. Keep contact tracing records and temperature checks. Masks shall be worn at all times.

โœ… For performers and crew: wear masks at all times and follow all preventive measures.
 

๐Ÿ“ Restaurants, Stores, and Shops

๐Ÿ“ On-Campus Activities

โœ…Varsity practices are allowed with fixed lists of members and shall be provided in advance. The maximum number allowed is 20 persons for indoor and 40 persons for outdoor venues. Coaches with no vaccination or those who have received vaccination less than 14 days shall provide negative test results regularly.

โœ…No art festival activities are scheduled during the summer period.
